Terms
Subcontractor terms.
What you agree to when you join a contractor's register. Short, and worth reading.
These are the terms shown to a subcontractor during onboarding, and the ones the declaration at the end of that form refers to. They are reproduced here in full so you can read them before you start, and keep them afterwards.
1. Status
You are engaged as an independent subcontractor, not an employee of SubbyFlow. You are responsible for your own tax and National Insurance.
2. Compliance
You must hold and maintain all certifications and insurances relevant to your trade, and tell us promptly if any lapse, expire, or change. We may request renewed documents at any time.
3. Insurance
You must hold valid Public Liability insurance for the duration of any work, and Employers' Liability insurance if you employ anyone. Cover must meet the level we specify for the work.
4. Standards
You will carry out work to a competent professional standard, follow site health & safety requirements, and comply with relevant regulations and codes of practice.
5. Your information
The details and documents you provide are used to vet and monitor compliance, are stored securely, and are not shared beyond what is needed to manage your engagement.
6. Suspension
We may pause or end your engagement where documents are missing, expired, or where standards are not met, until the issue is resolved.
The declaration
Alongside agreeing to the above, the onboarding form asks you to declare that the information and documents you have provided are true and accurate, and to print your name and position. Documents that turn out to be expired, altered or not yours are grounds for the suspension described in clause 6.
Who these are with
SubbyFlow is the software your contractor uses to manage their register. The work itself is engaged by that contractor, and any contract for the work sits between you and them.
SubbyFlow is operated by [TO SUPPLY: registered company name], company number [TO SUPPLY: company number], registered office [TO SUPPLY: registered address].
Your information
Clause 5 covers this in one line. The privacy notice covers it properly — what is collected, who is responsible for it, who else processes it and how long it is kept.
Questions
About the work, ask the contractor who invited you. About the platform or your data, write to [TO SUPPLY: contact email].
